Lee Enterprises

Lee Enterprises is an American media corporation and parent company of St. Louis Post-Dispatch. These are selected works from when I was a full time graphic designer and part of the in-house team for the Niche Department. Our goal was to help grow both subscribers and advertising clients by producing visual effective layouts and final printed pieces in a deadline driven environment.

I helped to design various speciality products including St. Louis Best Bridal magazine. This is a bi-annual magazine created for brides-to-be to help plan for their wedding. Vendors within the wedding industry could become part of a program and be featured in the magazine. I art directed photo shoots and designed layouts that would connect the vendor services and products with would-be brides.

I art directed photo shoots and designed layouts for other speciality products and designed advertisements that were placed throughout all our various products. Many times ads were created with little input from the clients, in which case I would do research on my own on the client, their industry and, most important, their target. I would design an ad that would show a problem a client could help solve for a bride.
